The current construction works along Bussell Highway will connect BORR with the highway and the surrounding local roads more efficiently through an innovative ‘Y’ interchange.
To enable construction, the following road closures and traffic control will be implemented starting Tuesday, 28 May 2024:

Northbound traffic on Bussell Highway will be shifted back onto the northbound carriageway on Tuesday, 28 May.
Southbound traffic on Bussell Highway will be shifted onto a temporary alignment on the northbound carriageway on Wednesday, 29 May.
Traffic will continue to operate via a single lane in each direction.
The existing reduced speed limit of 60km per hour will remain in place to accommodate for the change in road layout.
Out-of-hours works will occur from Monday, 27 to Wednesday 29 May 2024, to install steel safety barriers and paint road line markings. This work will be carried out from 6pm to 6am.

Calinup Road will be re-aligned onto the new Grevillea Road.

A portion of Calinup Road where it meets Bussell Highway, will be permanently closed.

The existing right turn pocket on Bussell Highway southbound will remain in place.

At this intersection, traffic on Bussell Highway will operate in a single lane in each direction, separated by a median.
The width of the median allows for a vehicle with a total length of 19m (approximately the size of a semi-trailer).
Turn pockets on Bussell Highway southbound and northbound will allow traffic to turn into Grevillea Road.
An acceleration lane will assist traffic to turn right onto the northbound carriageway on Bussell Highway. The acceleration lane may be closed for short periods when work is active nearby. During this time traffic cones will be used to delineate the closure and a variable message board will be in place on Grevillea Road advising of the closure.
A temporary lighting tower will be positioned at the intersection.
The speed limit on Grevillea Road will be 70km per hour, however, will be further reduced to 40km when workers are in close proximity.
Traffic controllers will monitor the Jaymon Road and Grevillea Road intersections for seven days following implementation of the new arrangements.
These road and traffic management changes will be in effect until December 2024.
