The Capel Region is a skating and BMX destination, with skateparks and pump tracks accessible in all of our townsites. These facilities foster a connected community and positive atmosphere, by providing access to valuable assets within our Shire.

 

There are many benefits of skating and riding on a pump track, not just the fun!

Our community has access to over facilities that promote an inclusive, positive environment and community connection. Skateboarding and BMX riding is an affordable hobby which promotes a healthy lifestyle and can be enjoyed by all ages. Both activities promote fitness, builds strength, balance and coordination.

Dalyellup Skate Park

This hybrid design based on a California “flow” bowl design is a 795sqm plaza style skate park, elongated ‘snake run’ with a 330sqm flow bowl zone.

 

Located close to the Dalyellup town precinct, public transport and amenities, this facility will be complemented by a new nature playground and BMX pump track in the, forming a new community hub, which will be accessible for all families, and serviced by the proposed Dalyellup Multipurpose Community and Youth Centre.

Dalyellup Pump Track

 The newly completed Pump Track next to the Dalyellup Skate Park, is the latest addition in the Dalyellup Youth Precinct.

 

Capel Skatepark

The halfpipe and quarter pipe at Capel Skate Park flows into other skateable elements like rails, grind boxes, fun boxes and flat runs.

Located in the heart of Capel townsite, next to a playground, BBQ’s and amenities at along Capel Road, Capel.

 

Boyanup Skatepark

Skate year-round in this undercover fun concrete bowl with extension and is combined with other rails and ramps at this facility.

Located next to Boyanup Oval, Thomas St, Boyanup.

  

Gelorup Skatepark

Skate this smooth park with 5ft half pipe, quarter pipe, and steel fun box, suitable for all ages.

This facility located along Hasties Road, Gelorup, has amenities, BBQ’s and a playground.

 

Peppermint Grove Beach Pump Track

 The Peppy Beach Community Kids Bike Track was a community led project, and built by the local community. Supported by the Shire, Bendigo Bank Capel and Peppermint Grove Progress Association, this is a great community asset.

Located next to Peppermint Grove Community Centre, 26 Hayfield Drive, Peppermint Grove Beach.

 

 Capel Pump Track

 Capel is home to an asphalt pump track, located in the Capel Civic Precinct.

There is lots to see and do in this area, including the skate park, playground and public open space.
