Capel Youth Collective Youth Collective Term 4.

Operation Bright Spark - Secret Mission.

To: Young Agents of Change

Greetings, Agents! ๐Ÿ‘‹

You have been selected for a crucial mission at a time when many young people are facing unprecedented challenges. The world may seem daunting, with rising mental health issues, the pressures of social media, and the complexities of identity weighing heavily on young minds. But together, we can change the narrative! ๐ŸŒˆ

You are invited to be a part of this innovative program designed to address these critical issues head-on. Our mission is to foster resilience, promote mental well-being, and create a supportive environment where every young person can feel secure and valued. Together, we can reverse the trend and build a brighter future. ๐ŸŒป

Your Mission, Should You Choose to Accept:

Operation Bright Spark:

Your assignment is to launch an initiative designed to uplift spirits and brighten lives. This project will ask you, as young operatives with creating a series of fun and inspiring craft projects, all aimed at spreading happiness.

We will infiltrate local festivals, events, and markets with our vibrant, rainbow-inspired stall. This covert operation will feature an array of small, colourful items that embody joy and positivity. Each crafted piece will be designed to illuminate homes and gardens, igniting smiles wherever they go. ๐ŸŒˆ

Our stall will not just be a marketplace; it will be a hub of interaction and connection. Agents will promote lively conversation and foster engagement through playful activities. For a small fee, visitors can purchase uplifting crafts, while we also distribute small free tokens of joy to enhance the experience.

Expect games that encourage bonding and shared laughter! ๐ŸŽ‰

  • Engage in a series of activities that will teach you new skills and uplift your own spirit and well-being. โœจ
  • Create small sellable items with inspirational colours/quotes/poems/words ๐Ÿ–Œ๏ธ
  • Sell them at a stall run by the youth collective at a series of markets and festivals over the southwest.

Potential Project Ideas:

๐ŸŒฑ Plants to make a tiny jam jar terrarium

๐ŸŽจ Rock art that can be placed in a garden to spread a joyful message

๐ŸŒบ A painted pot and plant with an inspirational tag

๐ŸŒฟ Macramé hanger with a recycled bottle containing an ivy cutting in water, along with an inspirational tag

๐Ÿ“ A message in a bottle

๐ŸŒˆ A jar of good wishes

All projects must give a glimmer of hope—a rainbow of colour. WE MUST SHARE THE BRIGHT SPARK!  ๐ŸŒˆ

I have created a Pinterest board with some possible simple ideas

The Wandering Stall:
  • Encourages people to approach and gives them a feeling of joy
  • Uses fun and inspirational craft pieces to spread a message of hope and joy
  • Encourage people to come and interact with the stall through small interactive elements such pulling a popsicle stick from a jar that has an inspirational message etc
  • Offer these items at an affordable cost to give those who might not usually be able to purchase an opportunity to enjoy
  • Promotes conversations that help people connect and encourage engagement with the Youth Collective ๐ŸŽฎ
  • Give away small tokens of joy ๐ŸŽ

It will be up to you how many markets and events you attend over the course of the term.

  •  Use the proceeds of the stalls to reinvest back into the project
    • Use proceeds to fund an end-of-term event/party/activity of your choice
    • Donate part of the proceeds from the artworks to a charity (chosen by you as a collective) to further spread hope and joy โค๏ธ
