The Shire is thrilled to announce the successful funding of $412,189 through the State Government's WA Bicycle Network Grants for the Bunbury Busselton Cycle Link – Tuart Forest section.
This funding will enable the design and construction of a 1.8km sealed cycle path along the road reserve on the western side of Tuart Forest National Park, connecting the
sealed sections of Tatton Place, Stratham and Mangles Road, Stirling Estate.
This project will close a network gap in the Bunbury to Busselton Cycling Link, a priority route in the Bunbury Wellington 2050 Cycling Strategy. Once complete, the link will provide a seamless connection comprising 95% sealed paths and 5% unsealed sections, utilising local and distributor roads as shared paths.
Design work is scheduled for 2025/26, with construction to follow in 2026/27.
