Set your Google Maps to Higgins Road in Capel, and you’ll find the Tuart Discovery Trail.
 
Located just 900 metres down Higgins Road on the right, this easy 700-metre stroll takes you through the stunning Tuart Forest National Park—the world’s largest remaining pure Tuart tree forest. Some of these majestic trees tower over 33 metres tall, making for a breathtaking walk.
 
Whether you’re an avid hiker or just seeking a peaceful moment in nature, the Tuart Discovery Trail is the perfect escape. And the best part? It’s only 6 kilometres from Capel townsite.
 
In spring, the park bursts with wildflowers, and year-round, it's a haven for birdwatchers and nature lovers. Don't miss the Possum Night Spotlighting Trail, where you might spot the endangered western ringtail possum and other nocturnal creatures.
 
Best of all, the Tuart Discovery Trail is only 6 kilometres from the Capel townsite.
