The Shire of Capel’s Strategic Community Plan outlines a long-term vision (10+ years), defining the aspirations, values, and priorities of our community.
This Plan sets the direction for how we allocate resources, deliver services, and plan future infrastructure and initiatives.
Your voice matters! As part of our Strategic Community Plan review, we want to work with you to build a sustainable, vibrant future for the Shire of Capel. By getting involved, you will:
• Help shape Council’s focus and priorities for the next decade.
• Contribute ideas to improve services, infrastructure, and community programs.
• Ensure our planning aligns with your vision and meets future needs.
We are hosting Community Visioning Workshops in Boyanup, Capel, Dalyellup, Gelorup and Peppermint Grove Beach — all voices are welcome! No experience is needed, and your feedback will help ensure Council decisions reflect the community’s needs.

These workshops will be presented in an interactive café style, focussing on the six strategic directions presented in the Shire’s Strategic Community Plan (SCP), with a view to better understanding:
- What are the priorities for the community?
- What are we doing well?
- What can be done better?
- What are we missing that’s not covered in the SCP?
