Update: Boyanup RV dump point project.

Thank you for your participation and contribution to the proposed Boyanup RV dump point project.
As you’re aware, Shire staff previously identified and assessed seven (7) potential sites for an RV dump point in Boyanup. Six of these sites were eliminated due to ‘fatal flaws’ identified that would prohibit future use or development. The last remaining site identified was located at the rear of the Hugh Kilpatrick Hall (primarily on road reserve).
The Shire then undertook comprehensive community consultation to seek the resident’s feedback about the proposed location at the rear of the Hugh Kilpatrick Hall. A significant amount of information was collated and considered during this time.
As a result, we have listened to the community’s views and concerns raised through the consultation and are taking some time to reassess what we have learnt, whilst exploring other options open to the Shire in catering for tourism in Boyanup.
We appreciate and value your participation and interest in this project and will endeavour to keep the community updated as we continue to find the best solution for the Boyanup townsite and its residents.
In the meantime, and whilst we work through the above, your patience is greatly appreciated.
Kind regards,
The Shire of Capel
