The Shire of Capel is hosting Neighbourhood Watch meetings in partnership with South West Police and Shire residents throughout the month of May. Neighbourhood Watch aims to reduce the incidents of preventable crime and preserve the way of life that we have come to enjoy.
The aim of these meetings is for residents to discuss any concerns they have regarding community safety with the Officer in Charge at Bunbury Police Station and a representative from the Shire of Capel. These will be the only scheduled Neighbourhood Watch meetings with police presence for 2017.
This will also be a great opportunity to obtain Neighbourhood Watch stickers to place on your rubbish bins and around your property. Statistics show that criminal activity reduces in areas where Neighbourhood Watch stickers are placed around the home due to fear of being caught.
We hope to see you all there! The dates and times are as follows:
- Boyanup Community Centre – Tuesday, 2nd May 2017 at 6pm
- Capel Community Centre – Tuesday, 9th May 2017 at 6pm
- Dalyellup Community Centre – Tuesday, 16th May 2017 at 6pm
