Recreation

Within the Shire of Capel there are many recreational and leisure pursuits, which are continuously being built on with the development and promotion of walk trails, the development of sports pavilions in both Capel and Dalyellup, National parks and fantastic beaches.

The Shire’s main role in recreation is to liaise with the many sporting and recreation groups and clubs that play and train on the various reserves within the Shire.

Other services provided to the Shire’s sporting clubs, include the shared use of the City of Bunbury’s Club Development Officer, who’s role supports clubs to become sustainable, while also offering opportunities to attend grant seminars and various courses such as the Responsible Service of Alcohol.

Seasonal Tenancies Sporting Ground Allocations Applications are invited each year for sporting clubs to use council managed reserves.

Applications are taken in February for the winter season and in August for the summer season.
