From the evening of Thursday, 7th September 2017, members of the Stirling Volunteer Bush Fire Brigade will be undertaking controlled burns in the reserve at the southern end of Lang Cove, Peppermint Grove Beach.
These burns are a continuation of the plan commenced earlier this year intended to reduce the fuel levels abutting private property and improve access within the reserve for both the community and the Fire Brigade.
Please be aware that these burns are being conducted by the Stirling Volunteer Bush Fire Brigade and as such should not present a risk to private property. If however you have any concerns, please contact the Brigade’s Fire Control Officer, Mark Roberts on 0412 446 516.
Any persons with a pre-existing medical condition which may be sensitive to smoke should make sure their personal safety plan is in place.
