The Inzone school holiday program runs every school holidays and we are always looking for new activities, ideas and places to go. The program is for 10 to 17 year olds who live in the Shire of Capel. The idea of the program is to engage youth in the community and combat some of that holiday boredom. The cost of all activities is subsidised by more than half and we try to keep the cost as minimal as possible so every one can take part. If you have any activity suggestions please email the Youth Development Officer.
Some of the places we have been to include: Forest Adventures South West, Yallingup Maze, Gravity ETC, Perth Royal Show and Ngilgi Cave in Margaret River.
April School Holidays
The Capel Youth Collective is excited to be part of Youth Week WA 2018.
Youth Week WA (formerly National Youth Week WA), is an annual statewide celebration of the positive contributions of young people to our community throughout Western Australia.
The theme for 2018 is Illuminate – Djoondal Djoomba.
This theme has a twofold meaning. Illuminate relates to space; time; the future of young people, bringing light to young people, and shining bright, and positive mental health. Djoondal Djoomba was inspired by the ‘Carers of Everything’ Nyoongar Dreamtime story of country, which is about the star woman and spirits coming from darkness to light.
The Shire of Capel secured funding from the Department of Communities, which enabled us to run two FREE workshops for Shire of Capel Youth.
Gather your girlfriends and head down to the Gelorup Skatepark on Friday, April 27 from 11am until 3pm to learn some new skateboarding tricks!
This workshop will empower women and girls to try skateboarding for the first time or brush up on their techniques.
Don’t miss this opportunity to be part of the Shire’s first skateboarding workshop for girls and women.
Date: Friday, April 27
