Construction of the Capel Civic Precinct Stage 3 will get underway next month to revitalise Erle Scott Reserve into a community hub.
From February 2, for at least six months, the site will be closed to the public and this includes the playground and skate park.
The $2.7 million project works also include a new all abilities playground and nature play space, shelters, BBQs, seating and landscaping.
A formal amphitheatre will be constructed and a skateable link between the existing skate park and Forrest Road will be created.
Capel Shire Council awarded Perkins (WA) Pty Ltd the tender for the Capel Civic Precinct Stage 3 Development works at its December council meeting.
The new amenity building was completed early this month and will remain open to the public during construction.
If you have any questions about the project please call the Shire Office on 9727 0222.
